from the feedback i have gained from user testing, i have seen that due to the website builder im using i have not come across many faults within testing
I surmise that there are various positives with regards to my site. The route of the webpage is simple thusly making it accesible to any individual who needs to see the site. The stacking times of transitioning starting with one page then onto the next and the connections on the pages are fast, along these lines making it considerably more accesible as individuals don't have to stick around to get from one page to the next. I additionally surmise that the general house style is predictable and proper for the class of the site, in this way making a brand that individuals will perceive. The format of the site is likewise extremely straightforward, adding to the convenience with regards to the site. At long last, the site holds a lot of data and obviously shows what is being sold to the client and how to contact the organizations. Also you can see how easily useable the links are when navigating around the restaurant.
In the wake of assessing my site there are a couple of things that I think could be enhanced somewhat. I think there could be a connection to the real Royal Armories page in the event that any clients are occupied with getting more data about that. I likewise feel that the pictures appeared on the picture slider could be connected to the shop page to make it less demanding for the client to discover what they like the look of. There could likewise be another route bar at the base of the page so that the client doesn't need to look back to the highest point of the page keeping in mind the end goal to explore simpler. I think these are only a couple of little things that would enhance the site.

LO4 user testing evaluation
a) navigation
I tested the navigation within my website by having a mouse click from page to page and also a flow chart showing where each page should be linked to.
b) internal and external hyperlinks
I Tested hyperlinks by checking that the Royal Armouries page loaded from my website, when selecting the 'Buy' button
c) page load times
page load test was done on each page and was successful as the time was very instant. slower page load times mean that the website is less desirable and then loses traffic to the page which is essential to small companies like small machines. Also Search engines like Google use page load time in algorithms that determine search engine rankings, meaning they're more likely to guide shoppers to sites that load quickly
d) performance of website when using different browsers
there are no issues when using with different browsers or platforms and this had been tested by loading up all the same pages on each device and browser at the same time to see the difference, the only problem was internet explore slacking a bit
e) consistency of house style
the fonts and colours are consistent throughout as wix gives you a theme to apply to all pages to keep the house style consistent.
LO1 - Small Machines info
It started out as an after school club that had students asking if there mums and dads could buy some as gifts, I then did a weekend market at Kelham Island in September 2013 and sold everything at which point I thought maybe I could do something with this. So I developed them properly, explored packaging options, price points, Quality Control, developed proper instructions, employed professional packaging designers, bought a domain name and built a website. Also changed the name from Hydraulics4Kids to Small Machines. I received some great support from PIMORONI, I did every Maker Faire I could get to in the UK during 2015. I was approached by the Royal Armouries in October 2014 and I was accepted into Yorkshire Artspace in November 2014. In March 2015 I was one of 3 speakers at MadeNORTH's annual event for emerging and established designers and Makers called MadeFRESH and I was invited to be part of the Sheffield Design Week.
Here at Small Machines we are incredibly proud to announce our new and exclusive line of toy kits we have developed with The Royal Armouries Museum. It has been nearly a year in the making and with luck the first 3 kits will be available through the Museum website in time for Christmas.
The Royal Armouries Museum is possibly the world's oldest museum, certainly Britain's, It was established in 1415 and commenced it's role as the standard setter for arms and armour in this country. The Royal Armouries applied strict quality control on design and production of the material of war, literally awarding it's seal of approval to 'Official Kit'.
As part of the relaunch of the Armouries shop, these 3 toy kits will form the first wave of 'Official Kit' from Small Machines. Each kit has been developed from historic plans and illustrations of Siege Engines (Medieval and Roman weapons of War) and re-imagined to bring you exciting desk top sized toy weapons.
